Torch of Hecate/Hekate Phosphorus Part 10: Fire of Teitan

Background

The name Tietan does not appear in classical mythology as the name of a specific dragon creature. However, it crops up in later esoteric, symbolic, and interpretive literature as a name associated with ancient primal beings or infernal forces tied to chaos and strength. Because of its sound and possible etymological links to Titans and primordial figures, Tietan is an evocative choice for a fictional dragon in modern fantasy settings.  Some name-meaning sources suggest that the name Tietan could be connected to the Greek word Τειτάν or Titan, which refers to the elder gods of Greek myth — beings of immense strength who preceded the Olympians. In a late-antique context, Tietan might carry connotations of “Titan-like,” implying primordial power and vastness.

In Christian and esoteric writings, Tietan appears in discussions of the number of the Beast and ancient symbolic names. Some 19th-century commentators claimed “Tietan” as a Chaldean equivalent of Sheitan, though this interpretation is not supported by mainstream linguistic scholarship and should be read as symbolic rather than historical fact.   While not present in ancient mythic texts as a named dragon, Tietan has been used in prophetic or apocalyptic symbolism in later literature.  Esoteric authors have claimed Tietan as a hidden or invisible name of a great evil or primordial enemy figure in the context of mystical numeric interpretation.  These uses reflect a broader mythic imagination rather than an established dragon myth.

Tietan, the Storm Lord is a primordial dragon born at the dawn of the world, an embodiment of tempestuous winds and roaring seas. Revered and feared across the continents, Tietan is known as a bringer of storms and destroyer of empires.  Massive serpentine frame with obsidian-black scales that shimmer with lightning reflection.  Wings vast, storm-cloud grey membranes lined with crackling electric runes. With eyes glowing violet like distant thunder. Breath a swirling vortex of hurricane winds and thunderbolt fire.  Although this short depiction is fictional, as any tale there is some truth.

Legend holds that Tietan awoke when the world was still young, birthed from the clash of heaven and earth. Wherever Tietan flies, the weather bends to his will — thunder rolls in his wake, and rainbows form from the tears of storm spirits defeated by his roar.  Tietan is not merely a force of destruction, but a guardian of balance between elemental fury and calm. Ancient coastal peoples built sunken temples to honor him, believing storms were his chosen way of resetting imbalance in the world. In some tales, Tietan is destined to face the Serpent of Drought when the seasons fail.

Tietan Channel

For I am Tietan serpent king of Ghagiel. Lord who watches and destroys those that interfere with chaos. I strike down the mighty and raise the wicked to match its glory. This is what your people preach. But it is not the truth. I am a primordial force yet in adverse to what you see, I am a protector. What does that mean you say, a protector? I am a protector of the right side of Lucifer, yet this is partial truths. I seek to smite and hinder those who are not ready to pass on to his kingdom of Thaumiel. Written in time I was once a lord of air. Floating in the heavens. All who were lost of breath would find me. I became the current of air flows moving nature. The riddle you will find in the coming days. I sweep the surface of the spirit for untold truths before you proceed.

I am an ancient dragon before Lotan, and the word Leviathan was even formed. I have no home so I chose Ghagiel as I adore the blocking of divine light so that you may see your inner truths. In this act you find means to further your ascension. My primordial force in its nature is pride and its glory of inner salvation. I care not for your goals or divinity. I care only for the blocking of divine light in darkness. The ignorance is bliss moto. To sift through the ego and reclaim your truths, you must honor its ignorance.  For I am the serpent that coils itself around you. Smothering any opportunity to resist. To endure and accept is to liberate yourself from bestowing or receiving light to and from the spirit to liberate in Thaumiel. Cutting off all divine external light, you in Thagirion, plant the seed to awaken in Thaumiel.  Your kingship.  I am unfolding from you as your shift in growth. I am the serpent king that guides those that are worthy of a crown.

Yam awakens to your crown; I am the serpent that is your awakened gnosis that holds your power. The manifested form of ascending consciousness. I am not you, yet I am the results of your choices. This is why I am seen with those coiled around those in this sphere of Ghagiel. Depending on your choices, I will support or hinder your growth. This can create madness, but once learned awakens a new state of being. I am the crowning gnosis of your fruits. To become the awakened ascended master, from these practices and the current of my brother Yam. It is in this sphere Ghagiel you begin to awaken to your ascended consciousness. Your divine nature begins to unfold. It is no easy task, but the reward is great. Each time you do the sexual alchemical working, you awaken both Satariel with your intention and Ghagiel with ascension. It is a transformational primordial force.

I am the smighter of ignorance. You cannot see unless you believe.  I will hold you to realign you to your intentions and choices from Satariel. If you resist, you will experience pain and feel hindered. If you accept you will feel a drive and force as I wrap around you, imbuing you with energy. It is a dark gift. My primordial force will say you cannot do things as I test your will to see if you will overcome and move forward. For I test weaknesses before allowing those to pass on to Thaumiel. For this is the role of Beelzebub and I.

Tietan Praxis

Purpose:  The purpose of this rite is to invoke the fires of Tietan to gain his gnosis. Tietan's fire is one of Hecate's keys to the sphere of Samael in the underworld/Qliphoth.

Tools:

Two black tealight/candle

Lancet to anoint the sigil

The Sigil of Hecate (Created by Asenath Mason) and Tietan. It is recommended to draw them on paper or paint them on canvas. Doing so allows your energy to flow into its creation.

Dagger-(Only used for creating the ritual container) Do not use your dagger in the invocations of any of the dragons. How you approach them is how they will approach you and with a dagger can create complications.

The Invocation

Day 1.

Ritual Prep:

Set up the sigils on an and alter/table facing west and a black tealight next to it. Take a salt shower/bath or ritual bath prior to the invocation. It prepares the mind, body, and spirit for the ritual.

Ritual:

Creating the ritualistic container: Starting in the west and ending in the west making, using a dagger, I would walk counterclockwise drawing the circle.  As I walked, I said these words. “I cast this circle of Leviathan around, entwined and bound, above and below to protect the energies so.” Finish by drawing a flaming trident to seal the space.

Light the candle and anoint the sigil with your blood

Hecate Partial Invocation:

 Great Queen of the Night

Keeper of the Keys

Torch Bearing Goddess

Lady of the Crossroads

Heaven, Earth, and Sea

Great Goddess Hecate

Open the gates to the underworld

To the realm of Aarab Zurcach

I partially invoke you from waist to crown

Guide me to the guardian of its gates

So I may learn of your key

to the fire of Tannin

Ho Dracon Ho Megas

En Nomine Draconis

Meditation:

Focus on the sigil for a few minutes. When you have the sigil memorized, close your eyes. See the sigil rise out of the grown in gold and silver with flames wrapping around the edges. See the sigil morph and return to its shape and open. Begin chanting Vovin three times and then Hecate three times. Keep chanting until you feel the energy shift. Sit or lay down and see what comes to you.  Write down any experiences in your journal.

Closing:

Call to Hekate/Hecate to guide you back home. See if she has any messages for you.

Once back, say: "It is done"

Leave the candle vigil in honor of Lotan

Cast the sigil of fiery trident in reverse to open the space.

Day 2.

Invocation of Tietan:

Ancient coiled darkness

I call to your serpent of the deep

Great Tietan

Serpent of Ghagiel

Primordial Force of pride

And the glory of inner salvation

Great serpent that strangles the untruths

Giving way to liberation

Great hinderer

I invoke you

Enter my temple of flesh!

Awaken your fire and gnosis within me!

So that I may carry your wisdom and share its flame

In honor of your sacred name

Ho Dracon Ho Megas

En Nomine Draconis

Meditation:

After you say the words, sit down.    Focus on the sigil for a few minutes. When you have the sigil memorized, close your eyes. See the sigil rise out of the ground in gold and silver with flames wrapping around the edges. See the sigil morph and return to its shape and open.   Begin chanting Vovin three times and then Tietan three times. Keep chanting until you feel the energies shift.  If accepted, Teitan will request you to sit with your left hand up and your right hand down. As you do, feel energy pouring into your body through your left hand and out your right. Turn you right hand up. With both hands facing upward, feel energy rising from both. The transference was complete. Allow any experience to unfold.

Inner Temple Meditation:

See before you a black door with a silver handle. You have seen this door before, it is to your temple door. Open the door and step in. The torch light flickers on the wall as you see your table, chair and mirror. In the center of the room you see your source flame burning bright. Walk toward it and take a log and place it on the flames. As you do this, the torches on the walls flare up and back down. Turn to the left corner of the room. You see stairs going down into the ground.  Next to the stairs is a doorway to another room. Walk into the room. Small torches line the wall. Looking at them, each torch has a frame of a dragon.  The light in the room is coming from a fire pit in the middle of the room, Leviathan's, Typhon's, Lotan’s, Tannin’s, Tiamat's, Rahab’s, Dagon’s, Nahar’s, and Yamm's torch. You see logs next to the fire. Take one and say the name Tietan and place it on the fire.  This action causes one of the torches to ignite.  If Tietan appears, allow the experience to unfold.

Come back here to care for the flame by adding logs to it. You will find the more you do, the more you sense your own energy as well as Tietan. Know from this day Tietan walks with you.

Closing:

Call to Hekate/Hecate to guide you back home. See if she has any messages for you.

Once back, say: "It is done"

Leave the candle vigil in honor of Lotan

Cast the sigil of fiery trident in reverse to open the space.
